Growing Feijoas in your Backyard


Everything You Need

  1. A well balanced fertiliser

  2. Blood and Bone

  3. Shovel

  4. Gloves

  5. Mulch

  6. A stake

  7. Some ties

Steps

  1. Soak Feijoa Tree in water or even seaweed tonic to help prevent against any transplant shock

  2. Dig a hole about twice as wide as the pot and just a little bit deeper

  3. Next, put a good layer of blood and bone or equivalent in the bottom of the hole

  4. Put a layer of fertiliser on top of garden mix

  5. Put Feijoa tree in hole and put a stake in before backfilling

  6. Find a good strong point on the tree and tie it off with the stake

  7. Then, give newly planted tree a good watering

  8. Lastly, chuck on some mulch on top, which helps to keep weeds away and retain moisture in the soil
